Hey, it's Dave here. So, in this weeks blog post, I thought I would share one of the items we've got coming up soon and what it takes to get a new product into production here at WeldTables.com. I know it seems easy enough, but there's more to it than meets the eye. Cool? OK then, let's do it!
So, how do we come up with ideas for new products in the first place? Well...we listen to you all. Most of the time, we don't have a problem coming up with ideas. We keep a list of these things in the office. When ever a customer requests something we don't have, we add it to the list. I wish we could just move on all of them, but resources are limited and we need to do one thing at a time.
We're all fabricators and career welders here at CertiFlat, so we all have an opinion about what we need in a product. However it's also pretty easy to get dug in and all of a sudden it becomes very difficult to come to a consensus. We try very hard as a team to accommodate everybody's ideas and opinions. Ultimately it comes down to this... We all want to build a product that serves you, our customer; properly for a long, long time! |
So, we've been working on a new Plasma Cutting Station for a bit here. We've had a ton of requests for it so we built it. It went through our internal process but before we release it to the world we like to get as much real world testing on it as we can. The easiest way to do that is to get it in the hands of some folks that will put heavy use on it. One of these people is Kyle Voss from 'The Fab Forums' YouTube Channel. Check out this video below.
